PRESS RELEASE OF APRIL 29, 2008
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Action taken by the General Conference of the United Methodist Church on Monday, April 28, 2008, changed the maximum age of eligibility for assignment of a bishop from 66 to 68. As a result of this action, Bishop Jane Allen Middleton remains eligible for assignment to an Episcopal area of the Northeast Jurisdiction by the Episcopacy Committee of the Jurisdiction.
