Sandra Rollason

Administrative Assistant

Service at Harrisburg Area Office:
My position provides support for the resident bishop of the Harrisburg Area. It is my job to keep the bishop organized, informed, on time and going in the right direction as well as managing the office in an organized manor. As part of overseeing her calendar, I act as her travel agent, which is no small task considering that the bishop's travel schedule can take her not only around the Central Pennsylvania Conference, but around the state, around the nation and occasionally out of the USA, as the United Methodist Church is connected on a world-wide basis. I communicate by telephone, email or "snail-mail" with those who contact the office of the bishop for a wide variety of reasons. I maintain a file on every pastor in the conference as well as keeping files on anything having to do with United Methodist agencies at conference and general church levels, especially those with whom the bishop has a direct affiliation. I assist with maintaining the conference database and producing reports as needed throughout the conference year. I maintain an open and direct line of communication with the District Superintendents' offices and assist the Cabinet when they meet here at the Conference Building. It is my pleasure to share duties in this office with the Assistant to the Bishop, Dr. Donald R. Shover and Secretarial Assistant, Mrs. Kristin Sample.
